It has to be said that astronomy is all about discovering, searching
for and looking at the wonders of the Solar system and Universe beyond
...
With this in mind, this section of our website features observation
reports and accounts of astronomical field trips from close to home
and around the world!
A web-based log such as this can only be a success if people are willing
to share their experiences with the rest of the Society. So, please
feel free to send your observing reports to observations@maccastro.com.

March and April updates ...
After an unusually cold Winter, which has brought us more than our usual quota of clear nights, we are hoping that the the days are now giving way to a similarly fair-weather Spring. Let's hope so!
Mars is still with us high in the evening sky, but Saturn is now becoming a very tempting target. Watch out for Venus too climbing higher in the West after sunset .
The following sections have been updated: This month's night sky and Forthcoming events.
